Medical devices + life sciences

Production equipment for medical-device manufacturing.

Clean, repeatable processes for small, delicate parts, built to support your process validation and run in a regulated production environment.

  • UV and fiber laser micro-machining of plastics, films and fine metal parts
  • Vision-assisted alignment and AI inspection of every part
  • Laser marking for traceability (UDI, serials, lot codes)
  • Contact-free maglev part handling with Planar Motor systems, no lubrication needed

Kardium has trusted us with production equipment for their medical-device manufacturing, and we're continually building with them as they expand. Details stay under NDA.

Batteries + clean energy

Laser cutting and handling for battery and energy production.

Thin foils and films that need clean edges at production speed, fed, cut and collected without damaging the material.

  • Roll-to-roll laser cutting with automatic tensioning and collection
  • Fiber laser cutting and welding of thin metals
  • Inline vision to check edges and dimensions
  • Stations that slot into a pilot line and scale to production

For Salient Energy we built a roll-to-roll laser sheet cutting station with an IPG 300 W fiber laser, certified to UL.

For engineers and buyers

Questions we get from production teams.

Will you sign an NDA before we share details?

Yes. Most of our work is under NDA, and we're happy to sign yours before the first technical call. We never publish client parts, processes or machine photos without permission.

Can you build to our specification, or design the machine for us?

Both. We can build to your engineering team's specification, or start from your process, volumes and quality targets and design the machine ourselves, with a full 3D CAD model for your sign-off before we build.

Are your machines certified?

Our custom machines are built for UL and cUL certification, with CSA available on request, so they can go onto your production floor in Canada or the US.

How do you prove the machine works before it ships?

Every machine is built and run on our floor in Richmond, BC, and we test it with your parts before it ships. Then we install it at your site, run it again and train your operators.

What do we get with the machine?

Operator training, documentation, a list of spare and wear parts, and local service from our Richmond shop. We support machines across Canada and the Western US.

What does a custom machine cost and how long does it take?

It depends on the process and how much automation you need. After a free discovery call we send a written proposal with the layout, the key components, the cost and the schedule, so you have real numbers before you commit.

Do you work with our existing suppliers and equipment?

Yes. We integrate IPG lasers, KEYENCE vision, Universal Robots, Beckhoff controls, Kollmorgen motion and other major brands, and we can connect a new station to your existing line.

Can you measure and inspect parts for us?

Yes. Our KEYENCE WM-6000 wide-area CMM measures parts and assemblies up to 25 m, in our shop or at your site, with contact and laser-scanning probes. You get an inspection report you can file with the job.
